New CEO in 2016

CEO responsibilities were assumed by Tamar June in February 2016, heralding in explosive growth for the company. Joining the company with the two co-founders in 2000, Tamar’s previous role was Vice President of Strategic Marketing for AssurX.

CEO Tamar June offers, “2016 represented a key transition year for AssurX. As CEO I frequently ask what the three pillars of our quality policy—Quality, Innovation & Trust—mean to me, our customers and AssurX employees. As a result my first priority after assuming the CEO position was to further emphasize customer satisfaction and increase employee engagement. I feel the focus of 2016 was to further strengthen the core foundation of AssurX in preparation for the aggressive projected growth and enhanced platform functionality we foresee in 2017.”

Increase in Number of AssurX Employees

As a result of the rapid growth of the company, AssurX increased its staff size by over 20 percent in 2016. Notable employee allocations were made to the AssurX Professional Services Organization, Operations as well as the Research & Development departments.

Key 2016 Appointments

CEO Tamar June instituted key leadership appointments within the organization. “With our dynamic growth, Co-Founder & Executive Vice President Sal Lucido has taken on an enhanced role as the unequivocal product evangelist overseeing product strategy and business alliances. John Kielty, formerly in a strategic business development role for the Western region at AssurX, was appointed Vice President of Sales. Carol Katona, formerly Creative Marketing Director, assumed the leadership role of Executive Director of Marketing role. Eric Cooper, formerly the Assistant Professional Services Manager, was promoted to Director of Professional Services. Kathryn Wagner was promoted to Product Manager for our fast growing Energy & Utilities market.”

2017 Outlook

CEO Tamar June hints at exciting announcements from AssurX, “I am extremely confident in the AssurX cybersecurity solution that will soon be announced. In addition, AssurX will be offering enhanced risk management and change management capabilities as part of our versatile quality and compliance management platform.” She adds, “More and more companies are becoming comfortable with cloud based solutions. 2016 saw a considerable rate of adoption for our cloud based OnDemand quality and compliance management solution and even more customers are announcing their intent to adopt our SaaS model in 2017.”
