As of July 19, 2026, federal and state authorities were investigating an outbreak linked to shredded iceberg lettuce served at certain restaurant locations. The investigation included 1,644 reported illnesses across five states, 94 hospitalizations, and no reported deaths. Traceback efforts converged on a supplier in Mexico, prompting a recall and the removal of implicated lettuce from the market.
