Training Options

AssurX offers a full range of flexible training programs that can be tailored to fit your needs. From on-site training, Web-based education, to regularly scheduled CATSWeb College courses, AssurX training is designed to make our customers self-sufficient in managing, using, and expanding the use of AssurX’s quality management solution. Training is available in a variety of ways:

On-Site - Customers can request on-site training any time they have enough participants to make this an economical option. This is very effective when you want a group of people trained at the same time, and is administered on a per day basis. Please contact your account executive for pricing and details.

CATSWeb College - You can send one or several individuals to us at our training center in the suburbs of Chicago and participate in our regularly scheduled training classes. This is effective if you have one to three people that need to be trained on specific topics. Please see our class schedule for dates.

Online/Tele-Training - An AssurX training professional will train you over the phone /Internet, on an hourly basis. This is very effective for receiving training on basic CATSWeb topics. Please contact your account executive for pricing and details.

Administration and Configuration I
Description	Intended for CATSWeb Administrators, this 3-day course provides the basic foundation for understanding how to administrate and configure CATSWeb by teaching students how to add and manage users, grant permissions, design forms, add pull-down lists, develop escalation rules, manage system properties and more.

Prerequisites	Basic Computer, E-mail, and Web Browsing Skills CATSWeb User Training or equivalent knowledge of the CATSWeb system

Administration and Configuration II
Description	This 2-day course details the use of more powerful functions built into the CATSWeb product and is aimed at non-programmers in charge of putting CATSWeb's more advanced capabilities to work automating your processes.

Prerequisites	Basic Computer and Web Browsing Skills CATSWeb User Training or equivalent knowledge CATSWeb Administration and Configuration Part I Some very basic knowledge of the Structured Query Language is helpful

Topics	Add Custom Buttons to Forms and the Main Pages Manage and Configure Field-Level Security Customize E-Signature Routing Add Custom Drill-Down Functions Add Advanced Escalation Rules Develop Selected and Filtered Lists

CATSWeb Developer Training
Description	CATSWeb offers unlimited flexibility by allowing you to add custom business logic routines and connect to external information systems. This 1-day course is intended for developers in charge of configuring and programming the CATSWeb system to take advantage of the more advanced capabilities. Students with programming skills will learn how to add custom routines to validate data entry, exchange information with external systems, invoke custom routines, send out custom e-mail notifications and more.

Prerequisites	CATSWeb User Training or equivalent knowledge CATSWeb Administration and Configuration Parts I and II or equivalent knowledge Windows NT/Windows 2000 and IIS Administration Expertise Experienced with building, registering and testing DLLs and EXE's using Visual Basic 6 Experienced with writing SQL Statements and creating, testing and debugging Stored Procedures in a SQL Server environment

CATSWeb API Training
Description	This 1-day course details how to leverage the powerful CATSWeb Application Programming Interface and is intended for technical personnel who will be developing software that uses the CATSWeb API.

Prerequisites	CATSWeb API license CATSWeb User Training or equivalent knowledge Administration and Configuration Parts I and II or equivalent knowledge CATSWeb Developer Training (recommended, but not required) Windows NT/Windows 2000 and IIS Administration Expertise Experienced with building, registering, testing DLLs and EXE's using Visual Basic 6 Experienced with the writing SQL Statements and creating, testing, and debugging stored Procedures in a SQL Server environment

Design and Configuration Lab
Description	Lab sessions can be scheduled to follow your training sessions and are very effective. An AssurX trainer will be dedicated to the session while your team practices using the techniques taught in the previous day's course to implement your business requirements under the guidance of an AssurX trainer.

Customized Training

Description

For a nominal fee, AssurX can work with you to customize the above training based on your needs. As an example, AssurX can train a company's user base on the specific process they have built (Process Specific User Training). Another popular example is to have AssurX package a combination of the training course that best meets your needs and your time constraints. (For example: 5 days of training = 1 day of user training, 2 days, of Admin 1, 1 day of Admin 2, 1 day of Lab)

Webinar Based Training - Dashboards and Display Parts
Description	This is a hands-on webinar delivered via Webex. This webinar is aimed at non-programmers in charge of putting CATSWeb’s more advanced capabilities to work. With the Administration and Configuration Part I training as a foundation, this course details the use of the powerful yet easy to use capabilities of the Dashboard and Display Parts features that allow you to customize the look and feel of CATSWeb based on business needs as well as how to create visual reporting metrics.

Webinar Based Training - Configurable Actions
Description	This is a hands-on webinar delivered via Webex. This webinar is aimed at non-programmers in charge of putting CATSWeb’s more advanced capabilities to work. With the Administration and Configuration Part I training as a foundation, this course details how to configure the pre-programmed Event Hooks to create dynamic forms, customize E-mail notifications, and validate data being entered into your CATSWeb system.

Prerequisites	Ability to send E-mail with attachment Web browsing skills using multiple browser windows Ability to use Cut and Paste Successful completion of CATSWeb Administration and Configuration Part I Course Ability to configure a CATSWeb form Basic knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) helpful

Webinar Based Training - Electric Reliability
Description	This course covers using the CATSWeb Electric Reliability (ER) application. During this training, you will learn all aspects of using the CATSWeb ER system to work with NERC/Regional Standards, and documenting evidence to prepare for a successful audit.
