Software Developer


  • Develop and test software products and services, including Special Product offerings for customers
  • Develop documentation related to software products and services
  • Assist product support personnel as required with technical inquiries
  • Test and validate software products and services
  • Assure compliance with AssurX software development standards

Required Skills and Education

  • BS or equivalent in a technical discipline, or equivalent combination of on-the-job training and experience
  • 2 years of software development experience, including at least 1 year in database-related development
  • Knowledge of development tools and languages, especially Visual Studio, .Net technologies and SQL
  • Knowledge of Microsoft technologies such as VB .Net/C#, Component Object Model (COM), ActiveX Data Objects (ADO)
  • Knowledge of relational database fundamentals
  • Knowledge of Web technologies including HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS
  • Knowledge of relational database fundamentals and using SQL Server and/or Oracle tools

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Experience with AJAX

Project/Configuration Engineer

As a Project/Configuration Engineer on the Professional Services team your job will be to meet with customers, help them analyze their needs, define their requirements, and then configure solutions within the AssurX software platform.

AssurX offers you the opportunity to do this all from home – There is no need to relocate or to work from an office.  Our engineers are located all across the country, performing the majority of their responsibilities via phone, screen sharing, and VPN.  Additionally, there are opportunities to travel, both domestically and internationally for customer onsite visits and company team meetings.  While we all work remotely from one another, we are a very close knit team dedicated to helping each other to be successful.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or a related field or the equivalent education and/or experience

Experience Required

  • 3+ yrs experience managing or implementing medium-large Software projects
  • Microsoft Project, Visio, MS Office Tools experience preferred
  • Experience with SQL involving multiple, complex queries
  • Knowledge of relational databases, especially Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle
  • Experience with HTML, HTML5, and CSS is a plus
  • Experience with Crystal Reports or similar reporting tools

  • Experience with standard software quality assurance and testing processes and methodologies

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collecting customer requirements
  • Developing project implementation plans
  • Performing AssurX product implementations based on project requirements
  • Creating Crystal Reports
  • Creating documentation such as validation scripts, help documents, installation guides, and design specifications
  • Performing system integration activities involving systems such as SAP, PeopleSoft, Sales Force.com, and other enterprise level applications
  • Proactively improving the project timeline through schedule management and progress tracking of schedule and budget
  • Ensuring that the project is delivered within approved budget, schedule, contingency and that it meets quality standards
  • Providing analysis of system processes and insight. ​
  • Supporting system enhancement projects, including software development, user testing, reporting, and trouble shooting. ​
  • Providing first line of support for Tier 2 & 3 customer issues
