Account Executive (East Coast Region)
|
Responsibilities:
- Meet and/exceed annual sales quota.
- Develop new business accounts within a defined geographic territory.
Candidate must be able to handle the full sales cycle, including prospecting, lead qualifying, identification of business requirements, solution development, demonstration, proposal development, and close.
- Work closely with the Sales Engineer support team to identify key customer business requirements and transform them into AssurX solutions which meet the customer requirements.
- Create solution proposals and/or answer qualified RFP's.
- Maintain clear understanding of how existing customers are using CATSweb and hosting site visits between prospects and those customers.
- Form and perpetuate durable business partnerships and relationships which will promote the long-term success of AssurX.
Requirements:
- BA or equivalent in engineering, business or technical field. MBA desirable. 3-5 years sales experience selling business software applications, or products/services that have a high $$$ value, premium price (minimal discount). Product must be intangible - application software, strategic IT services, strategic IT technology. Experience selling IT Services Management solutions ( ERP, Supply Chain, etc.) is preferred.
- Big 6 management consulting background or similar technical solutions experience desirable. Experience in business process reengineering is highly desirable.
- Broad technical background, with current understanding of Client Server, SQL Relational Database, Internet/intranet, Microsoft BackOffice, ERP.
- Strong professional presence with the ability to call on the executive/management levels of mid-size to large corporations.
- Demonstrated, consistent success in achieving an annual quota of $500K to $2.0M.
- Strong work ethic with high degree of integrity.
- International business experience.
- Expected travel moderately within specific sales territory.

Job Description:
- Manage product and service development projects, including Special Product offerings for customers.
- Help determine corporate policies regarding product and service development.
- Develop technical proposals for customers and prospects.
- Manage and approve requirements.
- Evaluate and disposition new feature requests, internal or external complaints, support issues and other quality tracking and improvement records that require engineering involvement.
- Schedule service pack releases.
- Schedule and attend Design Reviews.
- Schedule validation testing.
Required Skills and Education:
- BS or equivalent in a technical discipline, 2 years of project management experience, including cost estimation.
- 2 years of software development experience.
- 1 year of manufacturing or manufacturing consulting experience
- Good communication and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of development tools and languages, especially Visual Basic and SQL.
- Knowledge of Internet technologies and protocols such as HTTP, load-balanced web farms, SSL, and TCP/IP routing.
- Knowledge of Microsoft technologies such as Component Object Model (COM), ActiveX Data Objects (ADO), Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) and Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP).
- Knowledge of relational database architectures and feature sets, especially Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
- Knowledge of Software Engineering fundamentals, such as software process models (life cycles), requirement management, entity relationship modeling and validation.

AssurX is recruiting Sales Consultants to join our Enterprise Solutions Unit. The ESU offers a wide range of services that support our customers during the planning, implementation and deployment phases of Enterprise Quality Management Systems. The Staff Consultant is responsible for problem identification, requirements gathering, design, development, implementation, testing and deployment.
Responsibilities:
- Works daily with customer project teams, customer or integrator project leads, and end-user Staff.
- Build technical designs and develop solutions according to specifications.
- Assist being project lead.
- Develop methodologies, approaches and models to support practice development.
- Identify follow-on sales opportunities in accounts and engage sales team and support sales calls and customer visits.
Requirements:
- Must have strong technical skills, such as Visual Basic, Windows 2000/2003, Oracle, SQL Server, & Application Integration.
- Must have knowledge of Internet architectures.
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent and at least 4 years of experience in consulting.
- Quality Control/Assurance and Project Management background preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of regulated industries such as FDA, FAA, etc., required.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

| Technical Support Engineers (2) |
Responsible for providing technical support of AssurX's software products to external customers. Job scope includes trouble-shooting and solving issues related to AssurX applications, installation, databases, and networks. Ability to take full ownership and control of a problem or issue with minimum supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain high level of customer satisfaction.
- Respond and resolve customer inquiries.
- Document all issues and resolutions accurately, and escalate issues when necessary.
- Exercises judgments within defined procedures and practices.
- Thoroughly understand engineering principles and techniques related to job responsibilities.
- Prepare for and support new products within technical area.
Requirements:
- Solid PC knowledge.
- Strong technical knowledge in Windows 2000/2003 Server OS, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle 9i & 10g, and networking.
- Basic office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, general database).
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Proven customer support management skills.
- Excellent written & verbal communication.
- Proactive in learning new versions, products and services.
- Minimum 4 years experience
- BS in Computer Science or Engineering required.
