Benchmark Electronics expands AssurX’s enterprise quality and regulatory compliance solution for global operations

MORGAN HILL, CA – AssurX, Inc., the leader in enterprise quality and regulatory compliance solutions, today announced that Benchmark Electronics has acquired additional licensing of AssurX’s CATSWeb solution to meet their global expansion needs. Benchmark Electronics, headquartered in Angleton, TX, with 24 locations in nine countries, is in the business of manufacturing electronics and providing services to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of telecommunication equipment, computers and related products for business enterprises, video/audio/entertainment products, industrial control equipment, testing and instrumentation products, and medical devices.

According to Benchmark Electronics, prior to implementing CATSWeb they were using numerous systems between many facilities. The goal was to automate several processes including manufacturing issues, corrective and preventive actions, as well as audits and findings. They also wanted to be FDA compliant [with 21 CFR Part 11 regulations] for their medical device customers. With the implementation of CATSWeb, they’re now using a single, centralized Web-based solution where they have a tremendous amount of visibility and issues can now be tracked globally. Benchmark Electronics will be rolling it out to all 24 facilities by the end of 2007, and anticipate over a thousand users in the end.
